We are seeking a passionate Horticulturist to join our team in Clacton-on-Sea. In this role, you will be responsible for managing plant cultivation, ensuring the health and productivity of crops, and implementing sustainable gardening practices.
Responsibilities
Develop planting schedules and crop rotation plans.
Implement sustainable practices to enhance soil fertility and biodiversity.
Coordinate with local government and agencies for compliance with agricultural regulations.
Assist in marketing and sales of produced crops when needed.
Contribute to grant writing for funding horticultural research and projects.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Horticulture or Agriculture
Master's degree is preferred
Experience
3+ years of relevant work experience in horticulture or plant science
