Job Description

As a Forensic Psychologist, you will apply your psychological expertise to assess individuals involved in legal cases, with a focus on understanding mental health issues related to criminal behaviour. Your role will be pivotal in offering professional insights that support legal processes and aid individuals facing mental health challenges within the justice system.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments of individuals involved in criminal proceedings.
  • Provide expert testimony in court proceedings based on psychological findings.
  • Assist in risk assessments and develop recommendations for risk management.
  • Collaborate with legal professionals, law enforcement agencies, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to research and publications in the field of forensic psychology.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple cases effectively.
  • Support individuals with mental health conditions through appropriate treatment and interventions.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Forensic Psychology or related field
  • PhD in Forensic Psychology is an advantage
Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience working within the criminal justice system or in forensic settings
