Material Moving Worker

Job Description

As a Material Moving Worker at Logistics Solutions Ltd., you'll be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods within our warehouse using hand trucks and trolleys. This role demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and adherence to handling and storage procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out loading and unloading tasks with accuracy and safety.
• Ensure the correct placement of goods in designated areas.
• Work closely with supervisors to enhance operational efficiency.
• Participate in training programs to stay updated on safety practices.
• Provide support in managing incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Report discrepancies or hazards to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Assist in other logistical activities as required.

Requirements

Education

• GCSEs or equivalent

Experience

• No previous experience required, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Technical Skills

• Physical stamina
• Health and safety knowledge

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Communication skills

Certifications

• Forklift truck license
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment: Prior experience will be viewed favourably.
