Job Description

We are on the lookout for a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to join our Liverpool team. The ideal candidate will have experience in risk assessment, underwriting, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. You'll play a vital role in evaluating insurance applications and determining coverage eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyse insurance applications for accuracy and completeness.
• Determine appropriate premiums based on assessed risks.
• Provide feedback on underwriting processes to improve efficiency.
• Work closely with the claims department to understand risk factors.
• Assist in the review of underwriting policies and practices.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and challenges.
• Contribute to the development of training materials for new hires.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance
• Professional insurance designations preferred

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in underwriting or related fields

Technical Skills

• Data Analysis

Certifications

• CPCU or equivalent

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Property and Casualty Insurance: Background in property and casualty insurance underwriting.
