Job Description

As a Farm Production Manager, you will lead agricultural operations at our Weston-super-Mare site, ensuring all farming activities are carried out efficiently. Your role will involve managing staff, overseeing crop cultivation, and implementing sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate the farming activities across all phases from planting to harvest.
  • Ensure all production processes meet quality standards.
  • Manage irrigation systems and ensure water conservation practices are followed.
  • Collaborate with research teams to stay updated on innovative farming methods.
  • Administer farm payroll and related HR functions.
  • Cultivate relationships with community stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective health and safety procedures are in place for staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate farm performance metrics regularly.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science or related discipline
  • Relevant certifications in farm management are preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years in farm operations or management
