Job Description

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Animal Welfare Consultant to join our passionate team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in animal care, legislation, and advocacy, with an aim to develop and implement welfare strategies for various species.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive animal welfare assessment protocols.
  • Implement educational programs aimed at enhancing community awareness.
  • Participate in animal rescue operations as needed.
  • Advise on legislative changes impacting animal welfare.
  • Foster relationships with local authorities, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare evidence for investigations relating to animal welfare breaches.
  • Assist in the development of fundraising initiatives for welfare programs.
  • Conduct follow-up evaluations on animal welfare projects.
  • Provide specialized advice on care for specific species.
  • Engage in continuing professional development to enhance knowledge.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science or related field
  • Relevant certifications in animal welfare are a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a welfare-related role or similar
