Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical and Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will perform laboratory tests, analyse results, and maintain equipment to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

  • Execute laboratory tests in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  • Analyse and document results, providing detailed reports as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the research team on innovative testing methods.
  • Ensure proper disposal of biohazardous materials in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
  • Take part in continuous education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain an orderly and clean laboratory space to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Report any discrepancies or issues in testing processes to the Laboratory Manager.
  • Engage in professional development activities to stay informed about industry trends.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
  • Postgraduate qualifications preferred
Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory

  • Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath)
