Job Description

We are seeking a Food Scientist to join our dynamic team in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in food development and innovation, conducting research to improve food quality and safety while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and understand the impact of ingredients on product quality.
• Conduct stability and shelf-life studies for new food products.
• Implement sustainability practices in product development.
• Monitor competitor products and formulate strategies for improvement.
• Provide support for scaling up production processes.
• Contribute to scientific publications and present findings at conferences.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or related field
• Master's in Food Science is highly desirable

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in product development in the food industry

• Microbiology

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with food product scaling and commercialization: Ability to scale food products from lab to market effectively.
