Poultry Buyer

Job Description

As a Poultry Buyer, you'll be tasked with sourcing and purchasing poultry products for our company. You'll negotiate contracts, monitor market trends, and ensure the procurement of quality products while maintaining compliance with standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify and establish relationships with new poultry suppliers.
• Conduct regular market analysis to anticipate price fluctuations.
• Ensure sustainable sourcing practices are adhered to.
• Prepare and present procurement reports to management.
• Develop supplier performance metrics.
• Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure product standards are met.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives within the procurement process.
• Participate in training sessions related to food safety and compliance.
• Assist in developing purchasing strategies aligned with business goals.

Requirements

Education

• A degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in poultry procurement is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Supplier Relationship Management
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Additional language skills: Knowledge of languages spoken in supplier countries is advantageous.
