Utility Worker

Job Description

As a Utility Worker, you will be fundamental to our operations, responsible for maintaining and repairing utility systems including electrical, water, and gas. You will conduct inspections, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance and repairs on utility systems.
• Inspect systems regularly and report any irregularities.
• Resolve issues efficiently and document all activities.
• Work closely with the team to enhance system performance.
• Ensure safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service when dealing with clients.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate findings.
• Adapt to changing priorities and work environments.
• Utilize relevant software for documentation and reporting.
• Train and mentor junior staff members when necessary.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training in utility systems is beneficial

Experience

• Experience working in regulatory environments is a plus

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of plumbing systems
• Knowledge of safety protocols

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Excellent communication skills

Certifications

• Utility Sector Safety Passport
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certifications in plumbing or electrical work: Relevant vocational training or certifications will be beneficial.
• Experience in emergency response: Background in responding to emergencies in utility services is an advantage.
