Gas Plant Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Gas Plant Operator to join our team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining our natural gas processing equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency in all operations. Ideal applicants will possess practical experience within the industry and a strong understanding of gas processing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during all operational activities.
• Calibrate and test equipment to guarantee optimal performance.
• Provide technical support to maintenance technicians and other staff.
• Participate in training sessions and safety drills.
• Report any incidents or near-misses according to company policy.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiencies.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional certifications in gas processing or related field preferred

Experience

• Experience in a natural gas plant or similar industrial setting

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of natural gas equipment and processes
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Team collaboration

Certifications

• Safety certification (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the energy sector: Understanding of UK safety regulations and best practices in gas processing.
• Experience with process automation: Knowledge of automated control systems used in gas processing.
