Job Description

As a Forest and Conservation Technician, you will play a key role in monitoring and maintaining forest health across our managed areas. Your responsibilities will include conducting surveys, collecting vital data, and helping manage forest resources effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate forest conditions regularly and report on health metrics.
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of conservation projects.
  • Maintain equipment and tools used in forestry activities.
  • Support public education initiatives about local ecosystems.
  • Perform maintenance of forest infrastructure including paths and signage.
  • Assist in fire prevention and control measures.
  • Develop and facilitate training for volunteers in forest conservation.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Forest Manager.

Requirements

Education
  • BSc in Forestry or Environmental Studies preferred
Experience
  • Experience working in the field of forestry or conservation is preferred
