Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pedigree Tracer to join our team at Genealogy Research Ltd. The role involves tracing the ancestry of pedigree dogs, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and providing expert guidance to breeders and owners.

Responsibilities

  • Research and document the lineage of pedigree dogs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Build strong relationships with dog breeders and owners to verify and confirm pedigree details.
  • Educate clients about DNA testing and its importance in confirming pedigree.
  • Prepare reports summarizing findings and present data clearly to clients.
  • Stay informed on the latest breeding regulations and practices.
  • Collaborate with other pet care professionals to provide comprehensive support.
  • Utilize database management software for efficient record-keeping.
  • Participate in ongoing training to keep abreast of industry standards.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Animal Science, Zoology, or a related discipline
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is advantageous
Experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in pedigree tracing or related areas
