Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter in Manchester, you will evaluate and analyse insurance applications to determine the risk involved and the appropriate coverage. Your expertise will help ensure that our clients receive the best service and tailored insurance products.

Responsibilities

• Assess risks by analysing client information and making informed underwriting decisions.
• Calculate premiums, deductibles, and coverage limits based on risk levels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Implement and improve underwriting processes to enhance efficiency.
• Participate in market research and competitor analysis to keep products competitive.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on underwriting performance and trends.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Insurance is advantageous

Experience

• 5 years of experience in an underwriting role or relevant sector

• CII Chartered Insurance Practitioner
