Job Description

We are seeking a creative and talented Ornamental Metalwork Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing unique metalwork products, collaborating with various stakeholders to meet design specifications while showcasing innovative use of materials.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualise and design contemporary styles of ornamental metalwork, considering client preferences.
• Utilise CAD software for creating precise 2D and 3D models of designs.
• Integrate feedback from clients into design iterations effectively.
• Actively participate in project meetings to communicate design progress and incorporate suggestions.
• Conduct research on materials and techniques to ensure the best results for projects.
• Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills when addressing design challenges.
• Participate in quality control checks to maintain high standards of craftsmanship and finish.
• Assist in the training of junior designers and interns as needed.
• Document design revisions and maintain a comprehensive project log.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and fabricators.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Focus on Product or Industrial Design is a plus

Experience

• Prior experience in creating ornamental designs is preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
