As a Blood Bank Worker, you will be pivotal in ensuring the effective collection, processing, and storage of blood products. Your responsibilities will include handling blood donations, performing testing procedures, and maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough blood donation drives and ensure donor comfort during the process.
• Perform routine equipment checks to guarantee operational efficiency.
• Provide education to donors about the donation process and its significance.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to meet patient transfusion needs effectively.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on blood bank protocols.
• Participate in quality assurance and control activities to maintain high standards.
• Assist in the maintenance of a sterile environment in accordance with health regulations.
• Support in preparing reports on blood collection statistics and outcomes as needed.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant healthcare qualification is preferred

Experience

• Experience in regulated healthcare environments is an asset.
