Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Transportation Planning Officer to join our team in Lisburn. In this role, you will analyse and develop planning strategies that improve transportation systems, promote sustainable practices, and enhance community connectivity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage transportation projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Prepare proposals and documentation for planning applications.
  • Conduct public consultations to gather feedback on transport initiatives.
  • Work closely with environmental groups to promote sustainable transport solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to discuss transport planning issues.
  • Create visual presentations of transport plans for stakeholders.
  • Keep up-to-date with government policies affecting transportation.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Transport Planning, Urban Planning, or a related discipline
  • Master's degree in relevant fields is advantageous
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in various transportation planning roles
