Building Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Building Inspector to inspect building sites and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a background in architecture or engineering and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate building plans and specifications to ensure adherence to regulations.
• Conduct inspections at various stages of construction.
• Provide guidance to builders on compliance issues.
• Review previous inspection reports and follow up on outstanding issues.
• Ensure all documentation is thorough and accurate.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Membership in a professional body (RICS or similar) is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in building inspection or construction

Certifications

• IWFM Level 4 Certificate in Facilities Management

• Previous Experience in Local Authority Inspections: Hands-on experience with local council inspection processes.
