Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Oyster Shipper to join our team. As an Oyster Shipper, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the shipment of oysters to various locations. This role requires excellent organisational skills and a strong understanding of shipping regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee logistics operations for oyster shipments from our facilities.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation for shipping is completed accurately.
  • Pack and prepare oysters for delivery, adhering to safety and quality protocols.
  • Work closely with transport providers to facilitate smooth delivery processes.
  • Update inventory systems to reflect shipping activities and stock levels.
  • Conduct periodic audits of shipping processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Train new hires on proper oyster handling and shipping procedures.
  • Maintain communication with team members to ensure seamless operations.
  • Assist with customer inquiries related to shipping and delivery.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss operational improvements.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Additional training in logistics is a plus
Experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in an oyster shipping or logistics role.
