Fabricator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Fabricator to join our manufacturing team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication and will be responsible for producing high-quality products that meet and exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand and power tools to fabricate metal components.
• Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings.
• Conduct final inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
• Work alongside the production team to meet daily output goals.
• Report any safety hazards or equipment faults immediately.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production schedules.
• Help maintain inventories of materials and tools.
• Ensure personal protective equipment is worn as required.
• Assist in the development of training materials for new hires.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the production line.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant vocational qualification in Metal Fabrication or Engineering

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment focused on fabrication

• Fabrication Techniques

Certifications

• Health and Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Site Installation Work: Hands-on experience in installing fabricated products on-site.
• Supervisory Experience: Experience in leading a small team of fabricators.
