Job Description

As a Deputy Sheriff Lieutenant, you will oversee the daily operations of the Sheriff Department, working closely with the Sheriff and other law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of our community. Your leadership will be vital in managing staff and implementing effective policies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead team members in law enforcement operations and patrols.
  • Coordinate with other law enforcement agencies during investigations.
  • Monitor department performance and implement improvements.
  • Review and evaluate policies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Engage with community members to foster positive relationships.
  • Assist in developing crime prevention strategies.
  • Facilitate inter-departmental communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure that officers are equipped with necessary resources and support.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in public outreach and education initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or a related field
  • Master's degree is advantageous
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in law enforcement, including supervisory experience
