Mechanical Drafter

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Drafter who is proficient in CAD design to join our team. You will play a key role in developing technical drawings and 3D models, collaborating closely with other engineers and architects to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise CAD models for various engineering projects.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
• Review engineering specifications and translate them into technical drawings.
• Assist in project planning and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on design optimisations.
• Support the quality assurance process by providing accurate documentation.
• Mentor junior drafters and provide guidance on best practices in CAD design.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes.
• Conduct research on new materials and technologies to incorporate into designs.
• Maintain an organised filing system for technical drawings and documents.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in CAD design in an engineering setting

Technical Skills

• Revit

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with parametric modelling: Hands-on experience in parametric modelling techniques.
