Cybersecurity Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant to join our Glasgow team. The ideal candidate should possess a robust understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and will be responsible for implementing strategies to protect our clients' digital assets.

Responsibilities

• Lead security projects from conception through execution.
• Work with vendors and external partners to strengthen security frameworks.
• Establish metrics to measure effectiveness of security initiatives.
• Foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness within the organization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in a cybersecurity role

Technical Skills

• Security Frameworks (NIST, ISO)
• Penetration Testing

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with SIEM tools: Hands-on experience with Security Information and Event Management tools for monitoring and analysis.
• Understanding of malware analysis techniques: Knowledge of malware behavior and analysis methods to identify threats.
