Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Cambridge. Your role will involve preparing financial statements, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, sound knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
• Review financial entries and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
• Support project costing and financial analysis.
• Participate in financial planning activities and provide recommendations.
• Manage accounts reconciliations and ensure accuracy.
• Assist senior management with financial planning and analysis.
• Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and compliance requirements.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Financial Management or related field
• Professional accounting qualification preferred (ACCA, CIMA)

Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role

Technical Skills

• Budgeting and Forecasting
• Financial Analysis

Soft Skills

• Problem-Solving
• Project Management

Certifications

• CIMA or similar

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with IFRS and GAAP standards: Knowledge of international and local accounting standards.
• Proficiency in Excel modeling: Strong skills in spreadsheet modeling for financial analysis.
