Job Description

As a Tower Air Traffic Controller, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of aircraft within the designated airspace surrounding London airports. Your role will involve managing take-off, landing, and air traffic control procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Control air traffic in all phases of flight by using radar and radio communication.
  • Issue relevant traffic advisories to maintain safe separation of aircraft.
  • Provide high-quality service to pilots, ensuring their needs are met during operations.
  • Coordinate with airport services to facilitate the timely movement of aircraft.
  • Monitor compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
  • Assist in training junior air traffic controllers and support personnel.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in safety drills and assessments on a regular basis.

Requirements

Education
  • Valid Air Traffic Controller license
  • Bachelor's degree in Air Traffic Management or related field preferred
Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience working as an Air Traffic Controller in a tower environment.
