Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Stoper to join our mining team. In this role, you will oversee stopping operations, ensuring safety protocols and production targets are met while utilising your expertise in drilling and blasting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily stoping activities and ensure they comply with company procedures.
• Assist with the development of new methods for improving stoping operations.
• Ensure that all safety gear and equipment is used correctly.
• Maintain communication with surface support teams.
• Carry out risk assessments prior to commencing work.
• Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Higher National Certificate in Mining or related field

Experience

• Demonstrated experience in stoping operations and underground mining is required.

• Proficiency in operating specialized stoping machinery: Experience with advanced mining machinery is a plus.
