Job Description
We're on the lookout for an experienced Wind Farm Electrical Systems Designer to join our dynamic team in London. You will be responsible for creating and implementing electrical systems for wind farms, ensuring their optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Design and oversee the electrical systems for multiple wind farm projects.
  • Work closely with project managers and civil engineers to integrate electrical designs effectively.
  • Conduct risk assessments and feasibility studies to identify potential project challenges.
  • Generate detailed engineering designs including schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of any electrical system issues during and after installation.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget while meeting quality standards.
  • Implement electrical design software to aid in modelling and simulation tasks.
  • Participate in site visits to assess existing conditions and project needs.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with local laws and standards.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Master's degree is advantageous
  • Electrical Engineering Principles In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering concepts and applications.
  • CAD Software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) Proficient in using CAD software for designing and drafting.
  • Electrical System Simulation Software Experience with simulation tools like PSCAD or ETAP.
  • Problem-solving Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Team Collaboration Ability to work cohesively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Effective Communication Skilled in both verbal and written communication for stakeholder engagement.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng)
  • NABERS Energy or equivalent
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Experience in managing wind farm projects: Proven track record in managing and delivering wind farm electrical projects successfully.
  • Knowledge of grid integration: Understanding electrical grid systems and their integration with renewable energy sources.
