Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our respected practice in Plymouth. You will be instrumental in the treatment of both domestic and exotic animals, ensuring that all creatures receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities

  • Manage clinical cases from start to finish, ensuring high standards of care.
  • Perform routine vaccinations and dental procedures.
  • Develop and implement treatment protocols for various animal species.
  • Liaise with other veterinary specialists when necessary.
  • Document all treatments, medications, and patient responses.
  • Participate in outreach and awareness campaigns for animal health.
  • Keep abreast of new products and treatments in the veterinary field.
  • Document and report any adverse reactions to treatments.
  • Assist in managing the practice’s operational needs.
  • Contribute to a positive workplace culture and effective teamwork.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine
  • Master's degree or further qualifications in veterinary science are advantageous
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in veterinary practice
