Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Cardiff. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. You will be responsible for preparing and dispensing prescriptions, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and checking of all prescriptions.
• Manage pharmacy stock, including expiry date checks.
• Provide information to patients regarding drug interactions.
• Engage with patients to offer advice on medicines and health products.
• Assist in conducting audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Support in the administration of vaccination programs if applicable.
• Collaborate on the development of pharmacy protocols and procedures.
• Participate in community health initiatives and awareness programs.
• Assist in the development of marketing and promotional strategies for pharmacy services.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in a community pharmacy setting is preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
