Job Description

Join our team as a Hydroelectric Plant Technician, where you will oversee the operation and maintenance of hydroelectric facilities. Your expertise will ensure that equipment functions efficiently, with a focus on safety and compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of plant equipment and systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on hydroelectric systems to prolong equipment life.
  • Respond promptly to operational issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades as necessary.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure efficient plant operations.
  • Document all maintenance and operational activities accurately.
  • Participate in safety audits and implement improvements where needed.
  • Ensure availability of spare parts and materials required for maintenance tasks.
  • Stay updated with current technologies and best practices within the industry.

Requirements

Education
  • Technical diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Additional qualifications in Renewable Energy preferred
Experience
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in similar roles
Technical Skills
  • Experience with SCADA and PLC systems
  • Electrical troubleshooting expertise
Soft Skills

Certifications
  • NEBOSH Safety Certification
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Health and Safety Regulations Knowledge: Familiarity with health and safety regulations specific to hydroelectric power plants is beneficial.
