Job Description

As an Emergency Response Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining public safety and responding to emergencies in Glasgow. Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing situations, coordinating responses, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency incidents efficiently and effectively.
  • Lead coordination efforts during major emergencies, ensuring all agencies are informed.
  • Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate risks and immediate needs.
  • Implement safety measures to protect the public during crises.
  • Facilitate emergency training sessions for staff and community members.
  • Maintain a disaster response kit and ensure equipment is ready for use.
  • Report on the effectiveness of response strategies and recommend improvements.
  • Engage with community leaders to foster collaborative safety efforts.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management or a related field preferred
  • Additional certifications in public safety or disaster response are advantageous
