Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Sociology Teacher for our postsecondary education programs. The successful candidate will facilitate engaging learning experiences, develop curriculum, and assess student performance effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct interactive sessions that encourage critical thinking and student engagement.
  • Create and distribute instructional materials, including syllabi and resources.
  • Assess student understanding through exams, quizzes, and project evaluations.
  • Foster positive relationships with students and facilitate a supportive learning environment.
  • Engage in community outreach and promote the sociology program.
  • Assist with administrative duties related to the Department of Social Sciences.
  • Incorporate technology into teaching to enhance learning experiences.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Sociology or related field
  • Experience in higher education teaching is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
