Longshore Equipment Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Longshore Equipment Operator joining our dynamic team. In this role, you will operate and maintain various equipment to efficiently load and unload cargo from ships at the port.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver longshore equipment efficiently to load and unload cargo.
• Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
• Follow established safety protocols during operations.
• Work with team members to coordinate cargo handling.
• Document equipment maintenance and operational activities.
• Report any operational delays or issues to the supervisor.
• Comply with all port regulations and procedures.
• Attend training for skill enhancement.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Support a team-oriented work atmosphere.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Vocational training in maritime operations is desirable

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating longshore equipment.

Technical Skills

• Cranes operation
• Forklifts
• Straddle carriers

• Physical stamina

Certifications

• Valid certification or license to operate longshore equipment (e.g., CPCS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
