Job Description

We are searching for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality medical care to pets, including conducting examinations, diagnosing illnesses, and administering treatments. You will also have the opportunity to perform surgeries and collaborate with pet owners to ensure their animal's well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Examine animals and diagnose and treat complex cases.
  • Supervise and train support staff, ensuring the best practices in animal care.
  • Engage actively with clients to educate them about pet health and welfare.
  • Develop treatment plans tailored to individual animals and their needs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in the clinic.
  • Participate in practice meetings and contribute to improving clinic procedures.
  • Ensure all legal and ethical guidelines are followed in veterinary practice.
  • Stay updated on new veterinary medicine trends and advances.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Science
  • Additional certifications in pet behaviour are advantageous
Experience
  • 3+ years of clinical experience preferred
