Job Description

As a Natural Resource Specialist, you will be pivotal in planning and managing projects aimed at protecting and restoring our essential natural resources. You will utilise your expertise to develop strategies for water, wildlife, and land conservation. The role involves fieldwork, stakeholder collaboration, and data analysis to ensure effective resource management.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and oversee field projects aimed at resource conservation and restoration.
  • Conduct ecological assessments to understand the impact of projects.
  • Engage with local communities and stakeholders to promote conservation strategies.
  • Utilise GIS and GPS technologies for mapping resource locations.
  • Develop educational materials and workshops for community engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with UK and EU environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design innovative solutions for resource management.
  • Assess and report on the effectiveness of management practices and strategies.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related fields
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in project management related to environmental conservation.
