Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team in Glasgow. You will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, performing surgeries, and providing preventative care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine and a passion for animal welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Examine animals and identify health problems through diagnostic methods.
  • Perform surgical interventions as necessary.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments.
  • Maintain hygiene standards and adhere to protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding animal health and care options.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Monitor and manage anaesthesia and pain relief during surgeries.
  • Contribute to the training and mentoring of junior staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
  • Further training in exotic animal care preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in mixed practice preferred
