Job Description

We are seeking a Wind Turbine Performance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of wind turbines by analyzing and optimizing their operation. This role is ideal for someone with experience in the wind energy industry who is passionate about renewable energy.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analysis to enhance energy output from wind turbines.
• Implement performance improvement solutions and track effectiveness.
• Work closely with maintenance teams to maximise turbine reliability.
• Present findings to stakeholders and recommend improvements.
• Effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Oversee the development of operational protocols for wind turbine inspection.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with the Data Analytics team to integrate performance data.
• Assist in budgeting and project planning for new initiatives.
• Contribute to research and development efforts to establish best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Renewable Energy preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience with wind turbine performance optimization

Technical Skills

• Renewable energy systems
• GIS software

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Interpersonal skills

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) (preferred)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with SCADA systems: Hands-on experience with SCADA systems used in wind energy monitoring.
• Familiarity with turbine maintenance: Experience in maintenance procedures and regular inspections of wind turbines.
