Job Description

We are searching for a skilled Lathe and Turning Machine Tool Setter to join our precision engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating multi-spindle screw machines to manufacture high-precision turned components. A strong understanding of machining processes and a keen eye for detail are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up multi-spindle screw machines according to specifications.
  • Interpret technical drawings to determine machine setup requirements.
  • Fine-tune machine settings for optimal operation.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve machine-related issues in real-time.
  • Ensure production quotas are consistently met.
  • Document production output and maintain quality checks.
  • Work closely with the production team to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Follow all safety protocols and promote a safe work environment.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or machining is desirable
Experience
  • At least 2 years' experience setting up and operating multi-spindle screw machines.
