Auto Mechanic

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Auto Mechanic to join our team in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing and repairing a range of vehicle issues, ensuring all repairs are carried out efficiently and to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical components of vehicles.
• Carry out quality checks on vehicles after repairs to confirm functionality.
• Communicate with customers to explain repairs and provide estimates.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
• Participate in training and development to stay current with industry advancements.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of parts.

Requirements

Education

• BTEC Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
• Further qualifications in Automotive Technology are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years experience in vehicle repair and maintenance

Technical Skills

• Hybrid Vehicle Knowledge
• MOT Testing Certification

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Team Player

Certifications

• Vehicle Technician Apprenticeship

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Advanced Diagnostics: Knowledge of using advanced diagnostic equipment and software.
• Certification in Welding or Fabrication: Additional certifications in welding techniques are a plus.
