Job Description

The Shuttle Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of space shuttles through inspection, testing, and maintenance of various systems. This role demands meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in an exciting and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly inspect shuttle systems, focusing on propulsion, avionics, and life support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in coordination with engineering teams.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs as required.
  • Document inspection results and maintain detailed logs of activities.
  • Ensure all work meets safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Participate in safety audits and training sessions to uphold team awareness.
  • Stay current with technological advancements in aerospace engineering.
  • Use diagnostic equipment to assess system performance and functionality.

Requirements

Education
  • BSc in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
Experience
  • Experience with maintenance and inspection of spacecraft is highly advantageous.
Technical Skills
  • Experience with remote inspection systems
  • Welding and fabrication techniques

  • Interpersonal skills
  • Proactive approach

Advantageous

  • Familiarity with ISO standards: Knowledge of ISO standards related to aerospace safety and maintenance.
