Job Description

We are currently seeking a Track Laying Supervisor to lead our construction team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will oversee track laying operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards while driving efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise track laying activities and ensure they meet specifications.
  • Manage a team of track workers and assign tasks based on project needs.
  • Collaborate with engineers to resolve technical challenges.
  • Monitor equipment and material availability for construction.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks of the work completed.
  • Maintain documentation of all track laying activities.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols.
  • Provide training for new team members on best practices.
  • Adapt project plans to changing conditions or requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in construction processes.

Requirements

Education
  • Vocational qualification in Railway Engineering or Construction Management
Experience
  • Experience working on large railway projects is advantageous.
