Job Description

As a Latent Print Examiner, you will be responsible for analyzing fingerprints and other latent prints found at crime scenes. This role requires expertise in using specialized software and tools to enhance and compare prints, thereby aiding law enforcement agencies in identifying suspects.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems (AFIS) for print comparison.
  • Collaborate with criminal investigators on case assessments.
  • Assist in developing training materials for new methods in print analysis.
  • Maintain and calibrate forensic equipment and tools.
  • Engage in quality control measures to uphold forensic standards.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Forensic Science or related discipline
  • Advanced qualifications in forensic analysis are advantageous
Experience
  • At least 3 years experience in forensic analysis or a related field.
