Job Description

We are looking for a Lathe and Turning Machine Tool Setter, Operator, and Tender to join our team. The successful candidate will have a solid background in operating lathe machines and will be responsible for producing high-quality metal components.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and run lathe machines for diverse machining operations.
  • Adjust machine settings as required to achieve accurate cuts.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of final products.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment.
  • Interpret technical drawings to accurately execute machining tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with production teams to fine-tune processes.
  • Follow health and safety protocols diligently.
  • Keep detailed records of production metrics.
  • Perform routine quality assessments and modifies processes as necessary.
  • Assist in training new staff members on machine operations.

Requirements

Education
  • Vocational or technical certificate in machining or a related field
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating lathe machines
