Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Torch Shearer to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining the cutting torch to shear metal plates according to specified dimensions. Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operation checks on cutting torch and equipment.
• Monitor quality and productivity to meet manufacturing standards.
• Assist in inventory management of tooling and materials.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding progress and challenges.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and safety knowledge.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant vocational training or apprenticeship in metal fabrication

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Torch Shearer or similar role in a manufacturing environment

Technical Skills

• Cutting Torch Operation
• Metal Cutting Techniques
• Technical Drawing Interpretation

Certifications

• Valid certifications for operating cutting torch equipment

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Heavy Manufacturing: Prior experience in a heavy manufacturing or steel fabrication environment is a plus.
• Additional Certifications in Welding: Certifications in welding or related metalworking skills can enhance application.
