House Mother

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate House Mother to provide care, support, and guidance to our residents in a safe and nurturing environment. In this pivotal role, you will foster a sense of community and ensure the wellbeing of our young adults.

Responsibilities

• Support and guide residents in personal issues while ensuring their safety.
• Plan and execute extracurricular activities that foster community.
• Develop a rapport with residents to build trust and encourage open communication.
• Liaise with educational staff to support residents' academic progress.
• Encourage participation in house events and foster a spirit of inclusivity.
• Address individual residents' needs and tailor support accordingly.
• Engage in training relevant to safeguarding and student welfare.
• Serve as the first point of contact for resident concerns and emergencies.

Requirements

Education

• Previous experience in a similar role or youth care environment
• First Aid Certification (desirable)
• Safeguarding training (desirable)

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with young adults in a residential environment.
