Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our Birmingham office. In this role, you will manage various accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and assisting in financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Manage payroll functions and ensure accurate processing.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.
  • Work closely with the finance team to improve processes.
  • Train and mentor junior accounting staff as needed.
  • Assist with tax preparation and compliance.
  • Implement financial controls to mitigate risk.
  • Review and approve expense reports and financial documents.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • A relevant professional qualification is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience

Certifications
  • CIMA qualification is desirable
Languages
