Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our Birmingham office. In this role, you will manage various accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and assisting in financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Manage payroll functions and ensure accurate processing.
Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.
Work closely with the finance team to improve processes.
Train and mentor junior accounting staff as needed.
Assist with tax preparation and compliance.
Implement financial controls to mitigate risk.
Review and approve expense reports and financial documents.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
A relevant professional qualification is a plus
Experience
3+ years of relevant accounting experience
