Freight Coordinator

Job Description

As a Freight Coordinator, you'll manage and oversee all aspects of freight operations to ensure effective transportation and logistics. You will be responsible for route planning, communication with carriers, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate transportation schedules for all freight.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is prepared and submitted in compliance with regulations.
• Assist in resolving disputes or discrepancies with freight invoices.
• Maintain a close relationship with clients to ensure service satisfaction.
• Monitor freight costs and seek opportunities for cost reduction.
• Train and supervise junior logistics staff.

Requirements

Education

• A-levels or equivalent qualification
• Degree in Supply Chain Management is an advantage

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics

• Warehouse Management Systems

Certifications

• APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional
• Certified Freight Forwarder

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with E-commerce Logistics: Understanding of the logistics processes specific to e-commerce activities.
