Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Manchester. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with a range of special educational needs and be committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment. You will be responsible for developing individualised education plans (IEPs) and implementing tailored teaching strategies to help students succeed academically and socially.

Responsibilities

  • Tailor educational resources to meet the varying needs of students.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate student needs and progress.
  • Foster a curriculum that promotes both academic and social skills.
  • Support students’ emotional well-being and social development.
  • Collaborate with educational professionals to enhance instructional strategies.
  • Organise and participate in workshops and seminars for staff and parents.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to support learning.
  • Work towards creating an inclusive environment for all students.
  • Write reports on student progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Promote an engaging and positive classroom atmosphere.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of practical experience working within special educational settings
