We are currently seeking a dedicated Vehicle Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Dumfries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle repair and maintenance, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. Your role will involve diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and ensuring that all work meets our high standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify and fix mechanical problems in vehicles.
• Complete routine maintenance checks and services.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
• Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Assist in training new staff members.
• Engage with customers and provide them with clear explanations of the work needed.
• Support inventory management by tracking parts and supplies.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant automotive qualifications such as City & Guilds

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role preferred

Technical Skills

• Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Knowledge
• Vehicle Safety Standards

Languages

• English: Fluent
