Job Description

We are in search of a highly motivated Code Enforcement Officer to join our team. This role involves ensuring adherence to building codes and zoning regulations while promoting public safety and community standards. The ideal candidate will possess keen attention to detail and strong communication skills to effectively enforce compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out thorough inspections for compliance with building codes and zoning laws.
• Document findings and prepare citations for rule violations.
• Collaborate with planning and development teams for effective code enforcement.
• Guide property owners and contractors on compliance requirements.
• Keep detailed records of enforcement actions and progress reports.
• Engage in public outreach to promote understanding of building regulations.
• Attend training to enhance knowledge of evolving codes and regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
• Additional certifications in enforcement or inspection preferred.

Experience

• Familiarity with local government processes highly desirable.
